Patterns of Worship
By way of explanation: the Sunday Parish Communion at 9am generally follows the Common Worship liturgy, with the occasional seasonal variation. The service is followed by refreshments to which you are encouraged to stay!
Worship Together at 10.30am has a more informal liturgy, with appropriate activities for all ages. Generally this service will last around 40 minutes. Do come a little earlier if you would like refreshments beforehand. I hope that in due course we will also be able to have refreshments following the service.
On major festivals there will generally be one main Sunday service. As the style of worship will be less formal than usual, on such occasions there will always be a said service of Holy Communion at 8am, which will follow the Book of Common Prayer (1928). An example of this in May is on Rogation Sunday, May 29th, when the main service will be on The Green at 10.30am, with a service of Holy Communion at 8am in church.
Evening Prayer (30minutes) is said on Sundays at 6pm, to which all are most welcome.
During the week there is the Wednesday Communion at 10.30am, and Morning Prayer on Thursday and Friday mornings at 9.15am.
All are most welcome at any of these services. I do hope that the range of liturgy and the spread of the services throughout the week is appropriate for you, but please do let me have any comments that you may have.
