WE ARE DESPERATE FOR NEW MEMBERS – PLEASE COME AND JOIN US
We have had a very busy and successful year, with some entertaining speakers and demonstrations, from hankies to flowers. At our November meeting we welcomed Cathy our WI advisor who worked very hard to help us form our new Committee.
Ann Askey and Ann Bray who have served as President and Secretary respectively for several years and Sue Snelling as our Treasurer, felt it was time to step down for a break. At first no-one was prepared to help! When it seemed a dead end, the 2 Anns’ generously agreed to stand on the understanding it was for one year only as they didn’t want the WI to close after 80 years in Copthorne. We then found a Treasurer and eventually formed a Committee
We desperately need new members to keep us open and would give a hearty welcome to anyone who would like to join us. Meetings are only once a month, on the second Wednesday 7.30 – 9.30 at Copthorne Village Hall. Next meeting is the second Wednesday in January 2007.
