Welcome to Copthorne
St. John’s is an Anglican (Church of England) Parish Church with a congregation of around 150. There are two Sunday services, at 9am and at 10.30am, with Coffee & Croissants in between. We have a variety of worship styles and the teaching and ministry come from an open evangelical base.
There is a lively All Age Worship on the first Sunday of the month at 10.30am. Most of our 9am services are based around Holy Communion, the 10.30s are less frequently communion, and more informal in style.
There is also a mid-week Holy Communion on Wednesdays at 10.30am. Morning Prayer is said in church at 9am during the week.

Make Copthorne's roads safer |
As traffic volumes continue to increase, there is ever greater concern for the safety of everyone, and especially of our children, on the roads in Copthorne .
Both Fairway Infants School and the Junior School are very aware of this and take positive steps to teach the children to be safe. However both schools are also aware of the high volume of traffic created by parents transporting their children to and from school. |

During the year we have kept all our loyal members, and added a few more. Everyone seems to enjoy their Tuesday afternoons in the Church Hall. There is always plenty of laughter, chat, card playing and a very serious game of scrabble going on. Sincere thanks must go to the team of ladies who provide the cakes and raffle prizes, and given unstintingly of their time. Without them, we would not be able to continue. Thanks also go to the ca drivers who give lifts when needed – all very much appreciated. |
